The Great Northeast Texas Prairie Tour
Recently, a group of about 40 prairie lovers joined the day-long, first-ever bus tour of some of Texas’ finest prairies: Clymer Meadow, Gambill Goose Refuge and City Park, Mary Talbot Prairie, and Daphne Prairie. The day wrapped up with dinner in Mount Vernon at a historic church. Special thanks to BF Hicks and friends for hosting and feeding the group at Daphne Prairie; Brandon Belcher and Larry Crane for the Clymer Meadow tour; RJ Taylor, Pat and Glenn Merkord, and the Blackland chapter for making this happen! Stay tuned, we’ll definitely be doing this again. Check out Denise Costello’s blog about the trip
