Thank you for your support.

YOU MAKE IT POSSIBLE for NPAT to continue our mission to keep Texas prairie for current and future generations. Prairie conservation requires appreciation, which requires education. NPAT staff and volunteers are constantly working to connect people to prairies.

We hope you’ve participated in some of our workshops, field trips and chapter meetings. I know some of you came to the North American Prairie Conference, co-hosted by NPAT in June. It featured experts, fellow enthusiasts and opportunities to visit some special coastal prairies. Let’s keep that momentum going!

NPAT continues to conserve prairie lands, and we hope you’ve had a chance to get on to one of our prairies. This year we purchased our second Talbot Prairie—a rare Silveus dropseed prairie in Northeast Texas. We also partnered with The Nature Conservancy of Texas to add a third conservation easement to the Clymer Meadow Preserve—a Blackland prairie complex in North Texas. In early 2020, we plan to add another 480-acre conservation easement on a working prairie property. We continue to work with landowners to help them preserve and restore their lands.

There’s still time to donate to NPAT in your year-end giving. Your support is critical to our mission and programs. Find out ways to give, just click here.

Have a Happy New Year! And, we hope to see you on the prairie in 2020.
