Help with tallow eradication & see spring blooms at Deer Park Prairie: join Glenn Merkord (HNPAT) & Ian Kress (DPP supporter and former volunteer Stewardship coordinator at Armand Bayou), and “a group of about 7-10 people willing to spend half a day chopping out tallows” at Deer Park Prairie on Saturday, May 10, noon – ??.  Ian might be able to borrow some tools from Armand Bayou.  He and Glenn and the volunteers will be there with chain saw (from Glenn), hand tools, herbicide to do tallow eradication.

If you can come, please RSVP to Glenn Merkord ([email protected] ) or Lan Shen ([email protected] ).  Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, hat, preferably long sleeves. Also good to have are garden gloves, sun screen, insect repellent.  If you have tools, like lopper, handsaw, pruners, etc. please bring them and mark them with your name.
