The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is probably the largest public land owner in the DFW Metroplex & there are a variety of management issues including managing lands for native vegetation including remnant & restorable prairies. This presentation is an overview of the project lands, pertinent policies, history/status of tallgrass prairie in North Texas, & management practices USACE uses with limited staffing, budget, & policies to protect and improve our valued resources.
