A Prairie Bird-a-thon!

Help save the grassland birds of Texas with NPAT’s Second Annual Bird-a-thon!

You can support our threatened bird populations by supporting the habitat preservation work of NPAT by pledging a selected amount to donate per number of birds counted during a 4 week period. Pledges can be made from May 13 through June 13. The count and a report will be presented after that date.

These birds counts will be led by NPAT Board President Pat Merkord and volunteers at the following NPAT preserves: Kirchoff Family Farm, Maddin Prairie Preserve, Daphne Prairie, Mary Talbot Prairie, Talbot Brothers’ Prairie, and Lawther-Deer Park Prairie. These prairies are all preserved by NPAT and they provide habitat for our grassland birds. To join Pat on her bird-a-thon, send her an email for dates.

Thanks to Erin Hatchett, Carly Aulicky and Kirsti Harms, and new this year, the Bexar County (San Antonio) Audubon Society for helping with the numbers. We hope to top 2000 birds this year!

Thank you for your pledge!

Your donation is fully tax-deductible to the amount allowed by law.  You will receive an email receipt for your tax-deductible contributions. NPAT is a 501(c)(3) organization.
