People for Prairies 2023

Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) invites you to an evening of great food, drink, music, AND conversation. This could be the start of something bigger.
Thursday, May 11, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Cherie Flores Pavilion at Hermann Park, Houston, TX
Attire is business casual. Relax and enjoy!

If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation. Your support will make a difference!

Students participating in an insect sweep at NPAT’s Lawther-Deer Park Prairie Preserve.

You can be part of a discussion about expanding positive experiences with nature for Houston area urban youth. Leaders representing teachers, parents, school administrators, and urban communities will share their perspectives and answer your questions. Together we can inspire the next generation of Texas conservationists.

The event also supports NPAT’s Prairie Education Program, led by Director Della Barbato and based at our rare 51-acre native prairie in Deer Park, TX.

Della engages youth and adults with the biodiversity and benefits of native prairies through field trips to Deer Park Prairie, classroom education, teacher training in the Houston area and statewide, and building pocket prairies at schools.

We have a special evening planned. See the full agenda.
