You will be getting an email concerning the event soon or scroll to the bottom of this email for parking instructions.For those who did not, deadline for registering for the dinner at Monument Inn has been extended to 5:00 pm TODAY, Thursday, April 3.Information about the event is at this link or in the attached flyer.
Schedule of events for the dinner is approximately and currently:
- Before 6:15 pm Visit the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site and/or the free Lynchburg Ferry only a few hundred yards from Monument Inn
- 6:15 p.m. Doors Open
- 6:15 – 7:00 p.m. Cash Bar & viewing of Silent Auction Items (seecurrent list of items)
- 7:00 p.m. Dinner starts
- 7:25 p.m. Introduction remarks by Jaime Gonzalez, emcee
- 7:30 p.m. Dennis Jones on the History of Prairies in this area and why saving Deer Park Prairie is important
- 8:00 p.m. Announcement for last chance at silent auction
- 8:05 p.m. Pat Merkord on the Future of Deer Park Prairie; Silent Auction ends
- 8:20 p.m. Closing remarks by Jaime Gonazalez
- 8:25 p.m. Claim & pay silent auction items
Throughout the evening: Door prizes

Fried Shrimp (12) or Blackened Fish or Grilled Chicken Breast
All entrees served with:
Tossed Green Salad

Parking for the prairie tour: Many thanks to the generosity of the church – Primera Iglesia Bautista Church – at 4316 Luella Ave, Deer Park, TX 77536, for allowing us to use their parking lot on April 5! To avoid disturbing our new neighbors with excessive traffic, please park in the church parking lot and walk to the prairie entrance at 1222 E. Purdue Lane. For anyone not able to make the walk, you may drive by the entrance either to drop off or let us know to pick you up at the parking lot in our car. Google map http://goo.gl/maps/6jFho
