Boy Scout Hill at White Rock Lake
Our lovely fall weather is here. We’ve got plenty of opportunities around the state to get out on the prairie. Join us to work and learn. Check out these November volunteer events!

VOLUNTEER WORKDAY at Dowell Ranch in Manchaca
Saturday, November 13 from 9 a.m. to noon
This is NPAT’s recently acquired 150-acre ranch and restoration project. We will be surveying the property and planning a pocket prairie. For more information and to RSVP, contact Kirsti Harms

BIRD BIOBLITZ at Creech Prairie, near Floresville
Saturday, November 13 starting at 7:30 a.m.
Join a team for their first bird bioblitz! For more information and to RSVP, contact Melinda Creech.

VOLUNTEER WORKDAY at Boy Scout Hill at White Rock Lake in Dallas

Help maintain this urban prairie with the Blackland Chapter volunteers. Located at Scout Hill Dr, Dallas 75218.

LANDSCAPE LEARNING DAY! at Elisabet Ney Museum in Austin
Saturday, November 13 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Spend the morning learning about the local flora and fauna. Volunteers will have an opportunity to work in the landscape. This is a great opportunity to get hands-on experience with planting native seeds and removing invasive plants! To register, click here.

AMAZING FUN RUN/EXPLORING ECOSYSTEMS at Ebel Grasslands in Sulphur Bluff
Friday, November 19 starting at 9 a.m.

Join the Ebels and families from Bright Star Christian Academy for an educational run/walk through the prairie that takes you to different learning stations along the way. For more details, contact Kelli Ebel.

RESTORATION WORKDAY at Kirchoff Farm Prairie near Floresville
Saturday, November 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
1444 County Road 210, Floresville, TX 78114
Work and learn at the ongoing prairie restoration project at the Kirchoff Family Farm. Come when you can, leave when you’re ready. Tools are provided by the Kirchoffs. For more information, contact Don Kirchoff.

VOLUNTEER WORKDAY at Lawther-Deer Park Prairie in Deer Park
Saturday, November 20 from 9 a.m. to noon.

RESTORATION ACTIVITIES at Indiangrass Prairie in Austin
Sunday, November 21 from 9 to 11 a.m.
Austin Park Rangers and NPAT continue our monthly restoration projects at Louis Rene Barrera Indiangrass Wildlife Sanctuary.  Attendance is limited and PREREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, no walk ups are allowed. To register, click here
