Join us on this hike to see some endemic Texas flora at the intersection between Fort Worth Prairie & Western Cross Timbers.

We will explore examples of a Western Cross Timbers Post Oak/Blackjack woodland with scattered prairie openings. The topography is mostly flat, with moderate sandy slopes leading out to the west from the woods.

Meet at 8:30am in Decatur at the TXDOT rest area, approximately 2-3 miles northwest of the intersection of Highway 287 and Loop 380. Meet in front of the restrooms. We will leave the TXDOT rest area promptly, so please be prompt and on time.
