Jim Giocomo has been the Coordinator of the Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture, for the American Bird Conservancy since 2007. Jim holds a BS in Biology from Millersville University, a MS in Ecology from Penn State University, and PhD in Natural Resources from the University of Tennessee. The Oaks and Prairies Joint Venture is a public/private partnership of agencies, organizations, and individuals working through science-based, voluntary conservation actions to improve habitat conditions for priority bird species within the 60 million acre OPJV geography. Jim’s field work has focused on forest and grassland songbird productivity, survival, and winter ecology.
