Full Moon on the Prairie

Published by Fort Worth on

Join JoAnn and Amy of NPAT for an informational and inspirational time learning about the moon and celebrating the TANDY HILLS PRAIRIE!

JoAnn Collins was lucky to win an interpretive Women’s Moon Experience by the author of Wild DFW:, Amy Martin, from the Native Prairies Association of Texas auction recently. We’re inviting WOMEN and their children to join us on Friday, February 23, at 6:30 pm where we will celebrate all types of MOONLY things! We’ll meet at on the west mesa overlooking the downtown skyline. Dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes! We will stay on the main trail. where we will learn about the moon from Amy; so bring a chair, blanket or something to sit on. You might want a piece of cardboard or trashbag, in case it’s wet! Bring a thermos of a warm drink and/or snacks if you want. After our moon learning those that want to do a walk-about can join Amy. Those that want to sit and contemplate the universe are welcome to do that as well! We will, of course, clean up our mess and value the vegetation by NOT TRAMPLING the upcoming spring wildflowers! If the weather doesn’t agree, we will reschedule! Come be a Moon Maiden with us!

After registration, we’ll provide more details.

This event is offered through the generosity of author Amy Martin. Donations via your registration will benefit prairie conservation & education in north Texas.
