Fort Worth Chapter

Welcome to the Fort Worth Chapter of the Native Prairies Association of Texas! We’re glad you’re here.

We’d love to see you at one of our events — check our calendar for the latest info.

We cover 14 North Texas counties. Click image for a larger map.

The Fort Worth chapter of Native Prairies Association of Texas formed as a result of the synergy & excitement generated at the State of the Prairie conference held in Fort Worth in May of 2014. The North Central Texas area has its share of prairie folks but they weren’t tightly connected and aimed towards a common goal. Now, under the umbrella of the state Native Prairies Association of Texas mission; the Fort Worth chapter is weaving together local prairie professionals, educators, conservationists, landowners, students, and members of the public in an effort to conserve, restore, protect and educate our community about the importance of the historic prairies of North Central Texas.
