Prairie Ranching Carbon Credit Opportunities

The NPAT Fayette Prairie Chapter is delighted to host Mitch Hagney from Grassroots Carbon for a presentation on grassland soil carbon. We have had previous talks on soil carbon, but this presentation will be something different. Mitch will focus on how regenerative grazing can be used to improve grassland soil carbon, how stored soil carbon is measured, and how carbon storage credits work in the market. Grassroots Carbon is a carbon credit assembler, and Mitch brings real-life experience to this talk as the VP of Land Steward Success at Grassroots Carbon. Mitch has a background in ranching/farming, and he worked on farms in Kentucky, Massachusetts, Costa Rica, Arizona, and Central Texas. He also owns a food hub to centralize and distribute Texas grown and manufactured foods.
