The City of Fort Worth has established an Open Space Conservation Program to help identify & protect the city’s most important natural areas for current residents & future generations. Combining GIS-based computer mapping & modeling with public input, the natural areas prioritization process is data-driven & community-informed. Results will help guide where public funds could be spent to acquire & conserve high-quality natural areas across the city. The Trust for Public Land worked with the City of Fort Worth & a community stakeholder group on this effort. City of Fort Worth Senior Planner Brandi Kelp will discuss the program, land acquisitions, & amenities planned.
