You are invited to join us for our third annual
Lawther-Deer Park Prairie Celebration!
Saturday, April 23, 2022, 5:30-8:30 p.m.
This entertaining and inspiring event puts you in front of local and statewide conservationists while delivering vital funds to our Lawther-Deer Park Prairie Education Program. You can help enlighten people of all ages in the Greater Houston Area about their coastal prairie heritage. Valuable science-based lessons are delivered at schools and through videos, field trips to Lawther-Deer Park Prairie, teacher workshops, pocket prairies, and a girl’s summer science camp.
The evening will include tasty appetizers and beverages, music from Southern Style Bluegrass, a stroll on the prairie boardwalk, a special prairie tour, a prairie costume contest, and a paddle raise. We will also honor Dr. Rhonda Burroughs of Katy High School and her students, and share how you are saving Texas prairie by helping us educate our youth and the public about the beauty and benefits of native prairies.
Our supporters are educated, active in the outdoors, volunteer for their communities, and are passionate about sustaining the environment for future generations. We rely on caring leaders like you who understand the value of investing in our youth and natural resources. Your generous sponsorship can bring this to life!
