NATURE WALK AND WORK DAY at Indiangrass Prairie

[We’ve moved to Sundays.]

Sunday,  from 7:30 a.m. to noon

The bird and nature walk begins at 7:30 am.
These monthly access days offer a chance to explore one of the last prairie remnants in the Austin area.
We will also be setting up transects for the winter Project Prairie Bird.

CELEBRATE OUR ANNUAL PRAIRIE STAMPEDE! Brought to you by The Houston Zoo, Coastal Prairie Partnership, and Houston NPAT!!

All prairie enthusiasts, restorationists, and organizations supporting and preserving native prairies in Texas and Louisiana are cordially invited!  Join us for a prairie potluck dinner and evening of networking, awards, and celebration of 2018 prairie accomplishments for Greater Houston, Texas, and Louisiana.


This potluck dinner will be held at Houston Zoo’s Brown Education Center (“BEC”): 6200 Hermann Park Dr., Houston, TX 77030 It may be difficult to find parking in the Zoo/Miller Outdoor Theater parking lots; you may want to try to park across the street in the parking lots next to the old golf course club house.

We will celebrate with a catered barbecue dinner and beverages, including beer and wine. (A vegetarian option is available.)
Bring along your favorite delight to add to our ‘Dessert Potluck’ (and share your recipe).
Presentations will include NPAT’s year in review, speakers will be on hand to share tales of the prairie, and some of NPAT’s special members will be honored.
Oh yes, we’re also holding a silent auction; so you can mingle with other prairie enthusiasts while reviewing what generous donors have made available for purchase.
