Kirsti Harms

Interim Executive Director

Kirsti Harms offered to serve NPAT as Interim Executive Director effective July 2, 2018, to assist the board and staff.

Kirsti Harms joined the board in 2007 and served as an officer for most that time; she served as the President of the board until January 15, 2017.

Ms. Harms worked as an art director for tourism publications in TxDOT’s Travel Information Division.

Her interest in native plants and the natural world was cultivated at an early age by her parents, Bob and Sirpa. Since the late 1990s she has been involved with the Native Plants Society of Texas, Capital Area Master Naturalists, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and Travis Audubon.  She continues support Austin-area organizations including the Elizabet Ney Museum in central Austin and the Indiangrass Wildlife Sanctuary on Lake Walter E. Long.
